This won. Up to 280.85. Although, i feel like puking since Creighton was up 48-30 with 11 minutes to go in the 2nd half and ended up blowing the lead. St Johns ties it up at 60-60, then McDermott hits a 3 to win it with 2.2. secs.

If even the obvious plays are this close, I dont think i can make it all the way to $1,000. If I get to $500, I may start over again with $50. Creighton hadnt trailed at home in the 2nd half all season, and St Johns is terrible. Ugh. Makes me question the liklihood I can do this. It basically means hitting about 40 bets in a row. Hope for easier games the rest of the week.

Lol this thread has me deeply intrigued. At this point, you should really only bet on a day if you find 3 or more chalks you like. That 250 to win 20 or whatever on Whichita and Creighton made me cringe so bad compared to everything else. But yeah do your thing. I've blown $50 on a lot dumber things in Vegas or a random night at the bar.

Eh it was a good run. I actually like this method but more for short term. I think I will i keep doing it but start with a higher pot. Then when I turn over the money 2 or 3 times - start over. 50 into 1000 requires at least 35 bets in a row to hit. I think I'll try next time starting out at $500, and then just try to triple it. Then start over again with 500. But man, ohio state just choked that. They'd beaten Penn State 18 games in a row but oh well.

This is why betting heavy chalk doesn't work in college hoops.

                        Crazy shit happens.

                        Always.

Nice run for a while-- but the chalk monster bit you in the ass.

This has been tried before many many times and you're right....it never works. I wonder why people keep trying though.

Anytime I've had a $100 bankroll and done something with it was by betting underdogs.

                              That's a good point.

Ohio State has been playing lousy lately....

His balance was 280.85--- had he taken just 25 dollars of that-- and took a flyer on PSU he would have won $190.

And if it lost. He'd still have 255 to bet with.

Now-- not so much. I don't understand risking everything to win 40 dollars.

People are psychologically made to believe that -1500 means a sure winner.

The only thing stupid thing he did was not realizing how well he had done - more than a 500 % return on his money. At some point long before the Ohio State loss he needed to take out his initial investment plus some - the BIG upset is always going to happen somewhere along the line - He needed to have a plan to take out some at certain levels to prepare for the unlikely upset.
