Turning $50 into $1,000...my quest and strategy
I have started out with $50 at 5 dimes. (starting tonight - i've lost way more than that in the last month). But, I think i have LEARNED what NOT to do.

So this is my strategy and we will see if it works.

I'm going all in everytime, but I am only betting favorites or parlays of favorites with a (-700 or better spread). I may also go all in on a home team that is ranked in the top 10 in college basketball.

My bet tonight: $50 to win $15.93
    768 Wisc Green Bay -750*<small style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">vs</small> Oakland
    778 Oklahoma -1400*<small style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">vs</small> TCU
    783 San Diego State -1165* <small style="padding: 0px; margin: 0px;">vs</small> San Jose State

Should this win, tomorrow I will bet 65.93 on some huge favorite.

This is a plan to fail. Big favorites lose all the time.
Bet small on straight up picks (mainly dogs) until you build your BR up enough to bet larger.

This is stupid. Bet $1000 on a winner and you'll have $1000.

Honestly he might or might not be broke. I am following a similar plan. I put 100 bucks on 5dimes at the beginning of college football and lost it all on 4 team 13 pt teasers. I re-deposited and have turned the 100 into 601 currently.

My advise if you'd like to hear it. Never use your whole bankroll on ML parlays. Last night before I won 100 bucks on the St. Louis game I was tempted to do a 3 team ML parlay risking 500 to win around 540 or so. The parlay included Ohio and then I though screw this.

I bet instead my whole roll for the most part on St. Louis who almost lost, but didn't. I have done a few teaser bets betting 130 to win 100 and other things along the way. My advise would be take the 50, bet on a team you know will not lose, collect the small winnings and then do the same thing again until you don't have to bet your whole roll to win a couple bucks. I might not be the best at gambling, but come baseball season I hope to have at least 1k on 5dimes and then start betting in a sport I love.

GL to you on whatever you do.

Ive done similar and you need a lot of luck and go all in a few times and hope you win. I was betting only on dog moneylines.

someone in another thread said this, "in a game where the odds are stacked against you, you can only get ahead by betting as few times as possible."

Thats actually the best advice you could get considering your small amount of money. I've been in your same position. It's very tough. My advice is don't get greedy. Be careful with heavy favorites on the road.

Exactly what I'm shooting for! I dont mind winning small amounts each day. Its better than losing.
I'm playing the safest games possible - home 10+ point college favorites of good teams. I dont even play NBA anymore bc its too random.

The only time i have gotten burned by this strategy so far is when Indiana lost at home to Northwestern. But IU isnt a good team and I should have known better.

This is the absolute worst way to build your bankroll. The heavy juice gives you comfort when in reality youre making -EV plays every single day.

I turned $325 into $2k last year. You know how I did it? I got lucky. I have given back $745 this year. Up $60 with the local currently. Lol

Big chalk plays can work but you should find the team's with huge statistical difference's, especially if they are road dogs. Also look at small favorite's like Duke vs Miami last night those are easy and lot of money

I think you're going to take those games today as well. My suggestion would be to lower your parlays to three matches. It's just my opinion though

                                            Up to 94.89.

I dont think i will play any games tomorrow, but saturday there are a few games i like. Probably bet Oklahoma State, Kentucky, and Kansas.

I'm glad you're winning. Out of all your picks, I saw Ohio State as the most dangerous one.

I do a similar thing during the football season. I pick the 10 teams I feel are most likely that weekend (college or pro) to win straight up and do a $100 parlay.

I think this thing is risky, but it can work with the right amount of patience and diligence in capping. Just because it's a heavy favorite doesn't mean you should't really cap these game.

I will offer this one piece of advise, which you may or may not have already thought about, and that is don't put road teams in these parlays. Not against anyone.

Any team can shit itself in college basketball on the road.

You will get to 300-500 bucks and lose because your heavy favorite picking strategy will change based on the lines that they offer. I know it will happen because I do this very thing you are. Currently lost 100 down to 6.50 and I'm up to 165 again buying 15+ points on totals(-500)-(-800). I find that it's safer to not take a heavy side as you will have to 'sweat out' teams like Gonzaga... but if you take a total side that has a good chance of winning and help 15 points (usually about 4-5 minutes of reduced game time needed to hit) to the cause it will let you enjoy the game rather bitch and moan a -5000 favorite is letting some shit team hang around all game.
