hope their top 5/6 are in great shape by now....

all over louisville -8.5..... might be close for awhile, but not sure how 5 guys will last with this pressure D for 40 mins...

Mu playing 6-7 all year. James injury will hurt but they still have enough.

MU will shoot better with James out.

this is the first yr i truly believe the big east is a lot better than acc. i am on your side charlie archie.
however, unc is still as good as anyone in the country, except uconn

i think uconn is the best team ive seen all year, im rooting for them

I like butler....in fact.. my point is... when you only have 6 maybe 7 guys and 5 of them are getting 95% of the mins... its tough to finish well against this louisville full court pressure

I may be placing a large wager on louisville 2nd half

Williams has had a few days to prepare Acker. Minimize mistakes and play D. McNeil and him go back to HS so this is not new to Acker. I expect a good game out of him running the show. If he does shoot he cannot be worse than James.

Acker... played more mins as a frosh then alot of starting pg's in the big east that played this year... he doesn't bother me either...

what bothers me for the third time, is that you can't win tough big east games when you are playing pressure D... with 6 guys..

look at all the close big east games Marquette played.... acker and butler were the only 2 off the bench most games..... now with James out, only 1 of them comes off the bench...

Totally understand your take. However MU has been running lights out all year. In the tourney it might be more important with less days rest but they have had several days. These guys rarely wear out. Don't put too much stock in James injury is all I am saying.

Williams is pretty much a BB junkie who has studied the game all his life. His use of time outs and recruiting are what we need to watch.

Your comments are valid. I just do not see them wearing down as much as you think. And I think the line is off by 2. Not a big play for me but I know this MU team.

well, I hope marquette proves me wrong... I liked them early-mid season, but haven't been impressed with them lately, even before James's injury......

they haven't really beat alot of top flight competition... they are in the midst of their 3 game hell period now... and i'm not sure that they win any of their 3... Pittsburgh game might be their best chance...as they usually own them

You will also see more Cubillan who can shoot much better than Acker and James. Totally agree that this is their test to finish the season. Undersized but play bigger than that.

We will know soon. Could be a blowout, which is why its a small play for me. Big coaching angle for Louis.

Marquette is guard oriented. UL press won't bother them like it does other frontcourt balanced teams. Take MU and the points you cannot go wrong.

I am not one to come in a thread and say I told you so. No one believes MU is good. Mcneil, their best player, had his worst shooting game of the year, yet they covered. Play em untill the end of regular season if the line is good. I will be back to let you know my thoughts. I know this team.
