    Not exactly BTP ...
This "NBA On The Money" contest is like a ghost town. Not a word about it on the forum. There are no standings (that I can find), so no way to play against others, which is kind of the point of a contest... Monthly prize money was 5K, but now seems to be cut in half for March. It is a mystery to which sportsbook account winnings are paid. And questions entered in the question form connected to the contest get no replies.

The objective of the contest -picking NBA ML winners- seems to have a lot more value in the real world than the popular, but pointless, 132 man tournaments. What is going on?

The software is working fine now. And the contest is pretty easy, once you get the hang of it. I don't understand why SBR has all but forgotten about it, and I'd like to see how many players beat the book with this each month.

Better that it's not talked about on the forums as the end result is a bigger slice of the prize pool for each participant.

The standings can be found daily here: http://www.sbrcontests.com/ (site appears to be down right now).

Winnings are credited to the sportsbook you initially opened an account (or were allowed to use an existing account if you were already a member of each sponsor book) with for BTP.

Aside from the software being down, which is a far too frequent problem, it's a nice little contest that's extremely easy to make some money.

I'm guessing the prize pool for the NBA contest being cut in half this month is a result of the March Madness contest, which is also worth 5k, being held simultaneously.

              Thanks for the info.

The contest is nice, and opened my eyes to something I had not seriously considered before.

I've been enjoying the contest as well. Less than week ago, the prize information suddenly changed to $2,500. I wonder if February prize will be halved or does the new prizepool count only from March onwards? Oh well, It's free money courtesy of SBR, so not a big deal either way. Thanks for the contest!

The March contest prize was lower due to the dip in activity between Football and the start of March Madness but Feb is as advertised $5,000. March was listed at $2,500. It was good to see many of the posting regulars clean up!

We have a new contest format coming out that will be even better and bring the action back to the forum.

Thanks Bill , I have cashed in 3 of the 4 NBA contests and made over $600 in each of the BTP contests.

                            Love the free money

I think that's kind of the point. You have to go looking for it. There is no publicity.

If you want to publicize something, you need to at least announce it. You need to wave your arms in the air and get our attention. You need to give progress reports. You can't be counting on people browsing around sub-forums and clicking random links because many of us simply don't do it.

Now if they actually want it to be very secretive and mainly for forum fixtures, they are going about it the right way. That is what DH is acknowledging - and questioning. I agree it is odd to be so secretive about something like that.

If more participants were being attracted, it seems to me that would be more sign-ups for SBR and the sponsors - good for them - and there could be more prize money available - good for players.

I think DH has a great point. I had the same misgivings about the secrecy surrounding Beat The Prick this year (where the prize money was also way down).
