Here's my take why Obama will be the vast majority of the population's false god!

Just about everyone has been brainwashed by the socialist teachers union public schools.I'm not saying that there aren't smart people that come out of public schools,it's just that they are trained to be good at one thing usually and are brain dead on other matters.Even doctors and lawyers really aren't that smart in most things.The whole concept of public schools is to turn out auto mechanics,trades people,nurses.etc.etc.that can be productive at one thing but live totally dysfunctional lives otherwise.When these screw ups screwup,they need big government to take care of their problems.Hence,socialist ideals.

So what are the teachers going to teach the young brains of mush they have total control over?Of course they are going to brainwash the kids that liberalism,socialism,democrats,all minorities and communists are the greatest and conservatism,liberty and rugged individualism is heartless and bad.Teachers depend on making a living being attached at the hip to democrat politicians because they are in cahoots.We get more money from you stealing taxes for teaching our socialist beliefs and agenda,you get our vote as well as all the kids we brainwash when they start voting as adults.

So how in the hell is Obama no matter how stupid,socialistic,cruel to babies not going to get the vast approval of the american dumbed down brainwashed public?The fix is in.Oprah and Obama could murder John Madden on the 50 yard line at the Super Bowl halftime show and they would be cheered and told that Madden deserved being killed in cold blood because he was a meat eating republican that drives constantly around the country in a huge motor home causing global warming.

We are in and will have a depression and no matter how much worse it gets because of Obama,he will be the socialist democrats false god.He's the anti christ but in the liberal bizzaro world,wrong is right,down is up,sweet is sour,you get the picture.

Even guys that haven't been diseased by liberalism-socialism in school know that if they want pussy,they better act like Allan Alda and Phil Donohue socialist wussies to get any.

What scares me with the Rock Star thing is this:

If people start spending wildly again with leveraged money (due to this false sense of optimism Obama is creating), and the plan fails we are up the proverbial estuary with no means of propulsion.

I was watching Judgment at Nuremberg last night. My gf who has been pro-Obama, but not all that political came by, and watched the last 1.5 hr with me, and said, "don't you think we are in a similar situation that Germany was in?"

Well this thought never occurred to me because the situation is really only vaguely similar, and as much as I dislike Obama, I cannot compare him to Hitler or our current economic situation to post WWI Germany. Our Great Depression wasn't nearly as bad as economic conditions in post WWI Germany, this mini-depression looks like child's play compared to all of that, but the optimism, geopolitical conditions, and rhetoric is similar... My girlfriend said, "if I have to sign any weird agreements, I'm going back to India."

We have to realize the danger here. Obama has huge support because he has a shining image during dark times; this could easily sway anyone. If people who possibly don't even support him, buy the rhetoric, and spend leveraged money while our deficit is astronomical; they dig the grave for this country.

The markets can't stand this guy. He speaks, market drops. A lot of his polices are going to make doing business a lot more expensive.

The worst thing is yet to come. The cap & trade system for carbon emissions that he's going to pass will be a total nightmare that will send our electricity prices through the roof. Matter of fact, I'll try to dig up the clip on Youtube.....but he actually talks about the cap & trade system and says, "under my plan electricity prices would skyrocket". So essentially he's going to raise electricity prices nationwide to get Americans to use less power (global warming wacko).

Not only that but he just raised capital gains taxes in the middle of the worst financial crisis ever.

It's almost like he's doing things to sink the economy. He's rolling out TARP 2 with more of our money. His entire plan to rescue the economy will fail and he will be out on his a$$ after his four years are up.

He rewards bad behavior with his mortgage bailout.

This guy is a train wreck.

I saw the Rick Santelli thing and it was great. The reason I liked it so much is because someone in the media finally stood up and challenged Obama. More people in the media need to start asking the really tough questions to both democrats and republicans, they are all they same to me.

Santelli made a damn bold statement. His only question was, "Obama are you listening???" The market wonders the same thing: what in God's name is this crazy man doing? He is raising optimism and making plans to rob American's of trillions more! That is a T, not a B. There are a million different types of inflations that you wouldn't normally think of (for example, a college degree losing its value and more people needing a masters than ever before-- this is inflation itself...not to mention exponentially rising costs!). In rhetoric we now have Capitol Hill using the T word instead of billion more and more often. This distortion is a form of detrimental social inflation.

By the way, this problem is not a "12 headed dragon" we have had worse. You are right though, government intervention so far has only been making things worse, and I fear, much much worse for the long term. I was hoping at least, things would be okay for the next few months...

Almost every day, I hear of a new $700 BILLION plan that Obama comes up with.

We have an ultra liberal president who wants to socialize our entire country and he has Nancy Pelosi in the house and Harry Reid in the senate who will give Obama a blank check whenever he asks for anything he pleases.

You think things were bad when Bush had a blank check congress from 2000-2006?

YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET!!!! The only way you can stop these liberals from destroying our country is to take the power away from them.

Voters need to realize that all politicians are poison and the only protection the citizens of the United States can provide for themselves is to somehow make sure that neither party has full control of the federal government.

The partisanship that exists between the republicans and democrats is good for the people but it only has an effect when power is split between the 2 parties.

There needs to be a new federal law put into place that states that neither party can ever have full control of all 3 branches of the federal government.

Times were good under Clinton NOT because Clinton was a moderate democrat but because he was handcuffed by a republican controlled congress. Times were bad under Bush because he had a blank check republican controlled congress.

Dating back almost 40 years, here are the timeframes where one party controlled all 3 branches of the federal government:

1976-1980 Carter administration with democrats controlling the White House and congress

1992-1994 First 2 years of the Clinton administration where Hillary Clinton attempted to completely socialize medicine

2000-2006 The first 6 years of the Bush administration with a republican controlled congress

Jan 21, 2009 to present - ??????????????????????????

Compare these 12 years where one party had full control with any of the other years.

The problem is so easy to see and so easy to solve. Power needs to be given back to the people and taken away from these politicians and this can only be done if power is split between the 2 parties or better yet, have a 3rd party make an impact in future elections.

It is like the "sharp" thing to do is hate the guy. For better or worse, he is the president. I'd rather be rooting for him to do a good job and help the country and the economy turn around then pointing out every misstep and hoping he fails so I could say "I told you so" on an internet message board.

This reminds me of the Lakers, how everyone loves them but then you have the group of people that hate them just because they want to go against the grain and they hate Lakers fans. Whatever. Yes the people that are wearing Obama shirts that think he is the greatest thing in the history of man-kind are idiots, but that doesn't mean I'm going to hate the guy to prove I'm "cool" and "not like them".

Why do people believe that "change" is always a good thing?

When was the last time the federal government was able to spend money in an efficient manner?

The democratic party has always been the party of excessive government spending and wealth redistribution from the rich to the poor. There is nothing different about Barack Obama or the democratic party in any way, shape or form.

I'm not rooting against Barack Obama. Even though I didn't vote for him and I totally disagree with his politics, he's still my president and I want my country to get out of this mess.

The problem is everything that Obama and the democrats are doing right now concerning all this spending is going to prolong this recession and make it far worse. We got into this mess because we (as a nation) lived far beyond our means.

If we are going to solve this problem, we have to produce more, spend less and start saving to build equity in this country as opposed to trying to fix this problem with more wasteful spending.

Obama is a media icon type president, much like Clinton before him and Reagan before. Then you had JFK and FDR. What's the similarities all of these people had [Except for JFK who was assassinated]? They were all extremely popular during most of their administrations. Not to mention reelected. FDR and Reagan even dealt with economic crisis and still easily won reelection. Fact of the matter is, the American people LOVE celebrity presidents who are eloquent speechmakers. It would take someone extraordinary to beat him in 2012 [Might as well go ahead and throw out Sarah Palin].
