I don't think I've seen your opinion on it yet. He had a pretty good debut.

Personally I think he'll actually be what they hoped Cassel would be, a guy who can catch fire and lead them to some wins when the big three are cold.

I swear on the Celtics I was going to start a thread now about me LIKING the pick up.

He played his roll well today, if he doesn't fukk their chemistry up with his notoirious ways...it is great. He is a very good player to count on offensively and they really picked up a good extra weapon to come off the pine.

I am a Celtic fan, and have always thought of Marbury as a punk. He forced his way out of Minnesota because Garnett was getting all the attention. Marbury then went from one shitty situation to another. I am hoping that his experience with being benched this year was a humbling one. If Marbury is a competitor he is going to want to prove the Knicks wrong. Also their are enough vets on the Celtics to keep him inline. It cost the Celtics nothing, if he fvcks around they will cut him lose. After the game Marbury was talking about how all the Celtics talk about in the huddle is defense, and that the offense will take care of itself, he said he never has been around a team that took defense so serious. If Marbury buys into playing D and accepts his role coming off the bench, the C's will be champs again. I dont want to hear talk about the Lakers, they are soft and play no D, Defense wins championships.

I think a great fit, he cannot act up in Boston either or Garnett will literally put him through a wall.

I think it SUCKS. I'm off the Celts fanfare after that one, they've sold-out. The guy is an @sshole and now profits by going to an awesome team. No doubt he is a good BB player, but has no character. The disturbing part is, Boston doesnt care about his lack of integrity. The message is: win at all cost. I hate to see a guy like that prosper, sends the wrong message.

MeatMan - the Knicks organization is the assholes. They were a heaping pile of chit mess. They were the ones that signed him then wouldn't play him as part of a power trip. This is a professional league not some league where you have agenda's and vendetta's. The Knicks deserve everything bad they get.

This was a great pick for the C's. There was zero risk and it cost them practically nothing. If he doesn't work out he's out on his ass but your crazy if you don't understand how good of a player he is. He would start on 98% of the teams out there and your going to pass that up? I don't give a damn if the guy's an asshole to the media or even fans (I haven't seen that) but as long as he performs as a professional each night I could care less. I'm not sure where your getting his lack of integrity and no character because I don't see that. I see a guy like every other guy, trying to make a living by getting paid.

The C's just got better. It sucks because I'm a Cav fan and they stayed pat when we sorely needed a big man. Heck we could have used Marbury as well. The rich get richer. It amazes me how the C's have had star players gifted to them the past few years. I think somebody, somewhere, is helping the C's more than we know.
