I don't have an administrative position at all...

      no position

I am co-owner of a building (one of many) that a school rents.... maybe that is what you mean

... I used to consult as a school counselor on a case by case situation.....

      no longer needed...

i still volunteer as an after lunch reader.... and b-ball coach as needed.....

I come and go as I please...except when fundraising

I used an attachment based approached (see mainly children) as well as cognitive - behavioral. I am familiar with reality therapy...what kind of ideas did you have?

do you ever deal with reactive attachment disorder type kids??? I like the idea of skinner and behaviorism stuff...but it just doesn't seem to be able to be implemented in the hood....

basically every kid here... is fuked up from birth... and bowenian or minuchin family therapy is out of the question...

i wanna write a book about how, nothing you learn in undergrad, grad, or doctoral work prepares you to work with TRULY fuked up kids...

I guess so...RAD type presentations have a poor prognosis regardless of interventions used. Having people like you in these kids lives is their only hope, a protective factor. I would deisagree that a Minuchin type approach wouldn't work because I have seen it implemented with success in Camden New Jersey. If you want to talk further or trade some information I can point you to experts in the field...this is a good jump off point in my opinion..
