    Any former Athletes here?
Just wondering. If you have a story post it here. Here's mine.

I played football 12 straight years (8 years of pop warner/all 4 of high school). My Freshman year in High school I was the starting QB on the frosh team. The coaches were so impressed that they brought me up to the varsity squad for the playoffs. During the San Diego CIF Semi Finals we were kicking the shit out of our opponent so I got the chance to make my Varsity debut during mop up time. My coach called a QB draw right up the middle the first play. 30 seconds after the play was called, I was laying on the field with a torn ACL. We went on to win the San Diego Section final that year. After my great freshman year, things went downhill. We had a kid transfer to our school that spring who would later go on to receive a full ride scholarship to Utah. The kid was a great QB, and here I was still recovering from my ACL injury. My father was one of those dads that really pushed me to excel in sports. He thought I was capable of receiving a D1 scholarship so he had me transfer down the road to another High School knowing that I wouldnt beat out that other kid. I transfered to a really shitty team where I knew I would be the guy. Sat out my Sophmore year because of my injury and returned better than ever my junior year. Started every game and even took my school to a playoff game against my former school. (We got our asses kicked that game by the way). That summer I started getting attention from a couple mountain west schools. (SDSU, Wyoming, and New Mexico). I knew if I had another solid year I would get an offer from one of those schools. 1st game of my senior season...BAM!
Re-tore my ACL... Out for the season, dreams of playing college ball GONE. I am now at one of those mountain west schools except Im not on the football team. I'm just a student at SDSU gambling on sports, and living in the past.

Sorry for boring you guys but I just watched Rudy and I had to vent.

Only thing you'll find here is failed fukin athaletes - wasted talent they call em.

Deuce is a pretty good example of this.

Wrestled at 225+ From 6th grade until about 10th. I was pretty damn good but I lost interest in it and at 225+ I was facing monsters who were out weighing me by 40+ lbs and were far stronger.

Played WR for an SEC team... Played injured 50% of the time and wasn't good enough to make the next level.

what happens when you "re-tear" an ACL.... can you still repair it like the first time??????? big time injuries like that are the fukin worst.... I had some season ending injuires in H.S too... and they literally make you cry.... and 10 years later you still look back and say..."what if"
