If this is true, you are in the minority and have a gambling problem. Why would you try to sell your picks to people who don't give a damn about a high but really need the money to pay bills and have a little extra cash around? I'm the first to admit I'm here for the entertainment and recreational side of betting. I have zero interest in turning this from a hobby into a profession. I've gambled for five years now, and my average loss is $750 a year at $25 units, 98% of my plays are single unit bets. My average hovers ridiculously close to 50%, so I couldn't even fade myself and make money.

But I still love it, the handicapping, and the whole experience from booking the wager to checking the scores while I'm out working. Hopefully it'll always be this way, $750 a year is a pretty cheap vice in my opinion.
