Good pickup if in shape. He can play 2 when Allen rests his ankles and they can cut him anytime. He knows he's done for good if he gets dropped.

rondo will continue to start so that they dont mess up the flow of the team but rondo ISNT the player that marbury was when he was benched. sure he can score some points when the big 3 get dbl teamed but hes not in marbury's league yet. dont even kid yourselves. will be interesting to see how rusty marbury is but he is still one of the best creators in the league. just give him some time.

he's got a great core of guys around him and he is learning everyday. just not in the top-guards league yet. even with the big 3 on the court, marbury could still take over the game. i dont know if marbury would make boston the fav. to win it all, but he cant hurt. i dont see them beating l.a. this year and i think the owners feel the same way or else they wouldnt be talking about taking a chance with a great player who has issues.

I dont think its that bad of an idea for a team to take him but the Celtics... absolutely not. He should go to Minnesota or Memphis where he can start, shine, and score. Where he can put some fans in the seats but thats all.

Rondo has no need to be an elite PG. Boston doesnt need an all world PG to win the ring.
they need a sound consistant PG which they already have in Rondo. Rondo knows his role on this team and executes.
Marbury on the other hand..
you acutally think he's gonna come in and fit into a role player

not a chance, he's all about hisself and his stats.
He's just agreeing to the deal cause it'll be his only chance for a ring. He'll be traded after the season to another shit team so he can average his 20 PTS a game

theres an obvious reason why boston wanted him and like i said, he will come off the bench for a while and produce. if he doesnt, then he will ride the pine. nobody said anything about him being a role player.

Marbury is a good pickup. As a Knicks fan I'm saddened by the way is Knicks career came and went. I was excited before the start of the season to see Marbury run a running offense. He looked good in pre-season and came to play.

If I were in his shoes I would have told the Knicks to go Phuck themselves as well. D'Antoni just didn't want him. Said Marbury quit on him when he was in Phoenix. I don't care what anyone says, Chris freakin Duhon is not in the same class as Marbury.

The Knicks would have been much better with him but the Knicks lose is a big gain for the Celtics. BTW - Rondo is ok but not in Marbury's class.
