JR Miller a professional gambler? Hell no
Guy lost over 2400 betting 100 a game in 5 days. This guy is worse than Venditto and Dac combined. I might buy his newsletter next month just to fade him.

Not sure you know the story but JR had a reclusive brother who was supposedly a 1 in a million capper. JR's picks in the early days when he was becoming known were from his brother. Unfortunately his brother died and JR tried to make the picks himself but has proven to be decent but not like when his brother was alive.

Years ago (~2002-2003 ??) I did some research on JR Miller - and also took a look at some of the stuff his site was selling such as some archived odds/scores for past seasons of baseball and some literature.

            Findings:

Long-term, his picks were worse than coinflip accuracy.

The archive stuff he sold was so riddled with errors as to be useless.

I also had a look at a book he authored. In fact I see it is still sitting on my shelf. It has some common sense stuff that is true (but available for free from a zillion guys.) It also had some systematic capping techniques which were simply horrible/absurd and would cost anyone trying them a lot of money.

            My conclusion: a fraud
