Reds have a new catcher this year. Instead of being in Spring Training getting to know the pitchers he is with Venezuela for this crap.

mcann cant learn all of the braves new pitchers and chipper already can't play a full season due to age... he'll probably be out more this season after this...

You could probably bet Canada not to win on Matchbook. Although, you'd likely have to lay about -10000. They are 100:1 to win at Planet Hollywood right now.

I only see actual game lines at Pinnacle. Lots of places have odds available on winning the tournament and winning each pool.

And to answer the initial question, this is a great event so definitely not. I wish they had it in the middle of the season during an extended all-star break or after the season, though.

I really don't like Oswalt playing for USA. Dude's the only decent arm my Astros have. Then again...he got off to a LOUSY start last season, so maybe he'll do that in the WBC and get it out of his system. I could care less who wins this thing.
