OT- Who are better drivers Males or Females?

men are generally more skilled. The problem is that younger male drivers are often very aggressive, immature, and irresponsible behind the wheel.

I'm confident that if you compared the driving skills of the average male to the average female, the male would be superior.

I don't think there is any question that overall, women are better drivers. Any time I have discussed it with someone in-the-know, women have lower insurance rates. There is only one reason that can be: because they are causing less accidents. Safer = better.

The problem is there are so many men who over-value speed. They get themselves into a frothing-at-the-mouth hurry for no reason. Men will speed like hell and make 10 risky lane changes - to cut 36 seconds off their commute to a job they hate. When they have plenty of time. It's like brain damage. The brain is telling them they are in a hurry but there is just no reason. So many men are complete idiots.

I haven't had any recent discussions about insurance rates so I don't know if that is changing. But my unscientific observation is that if I see a driver taking a pointless risk, it will be a man a lot more often.

Depends on how you define better...it doesn´t help if someone is a good driver, but cannot control himself when getting drunk etc. I prefer a woman who cant hit a parking lot over that

Two answers to this question. On paved roads with traffic controls and stripes, women are more sensible drivers. On a dirt road with questionable terrain and obstacles, men are without question superior. I think the greatest measure of a driver is the ability to tackle unfamiliar areas and situations, and in this respect men are much faster at combining the critical thinking and understanding the physics involving to make good decisions on the fly.
