definitely had to do with a gambling debt. he was owed big, and they realized it woudl be much cheaper to kill him than to pay him. this happens a lot in life.... you owe someone 123k and you figure, why pay him when it would cost me only 500 to kill him. you save 122,500 bucks.. why not..
