this game is more about matchups...throw most of those stats out the window

dunno that i agree with throwing stats out the window, but you make an excellent point about match-ups. of course, square 101 says [incorrectly] that you can address that by looking at old box scores rather that asking the questions you posed....

i see louisville running primarily zone halfcourt [after the press], which could stymie the gtown offense and its princeton principles [normally better vs MTM]. if nothing else, this thread took me from playing louisville relatively large to putting that money on the 1H over and staying away from the game ATS. let the threads do that with nova and duke yesterday and regretted it, but more times than not, that works out.

there is no i capped the game. the oddsmakers know more than everysingle person on this forum combined about the game tonight. louisville the much better team @ only -1 and the line is not moving and quite frankly books are okay with bettors getting louisville -1 because they know more than you iwin. why is it that everyone keeps claiming that "the public" is on Louisville...I've seen a pretty even matchup of people picking Ville and G-town....So that leads me to believe it's not a "trap" since the bookmakers obviously set the line right.

The reason Louisville is only favored by 1.5 is because everyone in the country still has a hard-on for the big east so they think Georgtown is better than they really are even with all their losses....Fact of the matter is they aint very good

Actually I think they know most suckers will take GTown @ Home because of name value (as long as the spread shows GTown could win it straight up) and are willing to set an odd line on a game like this to win on the juice....Oddsmakers and their institutions most likely stay in the red on a game like this but in no way do they make a killing on it.

Biggest misconception in the gambling world here. The oddsmakers barely know dick, it's the bettors that mold the line to where it is.

Venditto, there is no such thing as a trap. You research the game long enough and you'll find the angle that bookmaker's are using for the line. This isn't the NFL, most people that bet college hoops know whats going on for the most part
