I'd rather, not fight 3 straight fights, and get to jump in...in the final, I think that makes is LESS legendary... in fact they made a rule after that to say you HAD to fight a pre-lim fight to be eligible for a final...

I'm gonna pull out my old vhs's tonight, as youtube doesn't have alot of the jokes they had on....

it wasn't mma back then...in the sense that all fighters had an ability to do it all, at least a little..

It was a bunch of different styles. karate guys, sumo wrestlers, tough men, free style amateur wrestlers...all designed to be a big informercial for the Gracie's and their style....

of course the guys now days are stronger (because of injections) and some have alot of skill (due to years of training when UFC became boxing and fighters found out they could make as much money as a boxer) but to call anyone thats old school "jokes" is out of line IMO...at one time...they were in their prime...and they were the best
