If You Just Play At Pinny, Mansion, Matchbook
98% you get the best number, now if everyone shopped most books would be out of business. The fact is most people can care less what the line is that is why many books flourish even high juice ones.

Line shoppers are only for the more advanced type player and takes time and patience which most gamblers do not have.

    There's truth to that.

It's the guys with lazy/incompetent betting habits who are paying the winners and keeping the industry going.

My father is a professional poker player and he puts it like this: there are very wealthy people who will come into a casino and lose $10,000 in a night. It's recreation for them, it's entertainment. He says that the professional poker players are simply splitting up these wealthy individual's money between themselves. I know my Dad isn't cheating, he's just saying that the pros don't make money from each other, they make money from the wealthy guys who will lose big for their entertainment and recreation.

There's more to it than just laziness and incompetence. Some people are too busy to put much into researching their bets, some people couldn't pick a winner to save their lives, there are others who are addicted to losing, there's all kinds of stuff going on out there.

You also must consider bonuses and square lines at some of these other books. It's not just about comparing -110 to -104.

Very true. If bookies disappeared then the exchanges would be a goldmine for anyone with half a clue.
