ABC is doing a highlights show from an international rugby sevens tournament that was at Petco in San Diego last weekend. Some really good stuff (I was there) and the USA had its best ever performance in one of these tournaments. Be sure to tune in.

Forgot to mention that these tournaments are a degen's dream. Rugby 7s is basically the same thing as rugby but with only 7 players (instead of the normal 15) on the same sized field. Leads to lots of open space and lots of scores. But it is also very tiring so the games are only 14 minutes each. So they have 44 games in 2 days which can lead to plenty of action. Typically my friends and I will take turns setting lines and let each other bet into them. Usually the surrounding randoms get into it too and by the end of the day money is flying around.Comment -

There are about 67k registered players in the US, and probably another 60k who are unregistered. The Hilton is the only one that offers rugby. I know they have the Rugby World Cup. They also have at least one league but I'm not sure which offhand. I'll stop in tomorrow and find out for sure...Comment -
