Hi, I am from SD and was an ex ball player in SD chain. I think as an athlete I will be able to give some good inside info here. I post also at RX as DeerHead sparingly.
Look forward to posting here.

Thanks for the heads up. It's always great to here different perspectives. the ex athelete one is very rare especially the level of ball you were playing. I think you'll be able to provide a lot of great insights here on player psychology and athletes attitudes and game context (i.e. how do players react to media coverage, long stretches on the road, streaks, changes in management, etc...). it's not often we get an ex athelete on these sites.
You'll notice that this forum unlike theRX and Covers is more less cordial and a lot of emphasis on the industry, capping, gaming theory, angles, systems and strategies. There is a section to post picks and a lot of us have fun with it...but you won't see stuff like "your pick blows" or save your money and don't bet and other BS on Covers and RX. Nobody here is thiking of becoming a tout.
The cool thing is everyone is taken seriously here and all insights are welcomed and appreciated.
Can't wait to hear what you have to say about MLB and other sports!

Nice to hear from a player's side. I guess you don't want to reveal your identity, which is understandable.

I was a pitcher and left the game involuntary 4 years ago. I was a 3.75 ERA guy and was 43-27 in my minor league career.

No offense bud, but who the fuck really cares? There are much better players with bases on here that aren't lowlife con-artists.

i guess i'll start asking a guy who goes to the same local bars as me about baseball, the dude pitched for about 9-10 years in the minors and got called up twice the the big leagues for STL, he showed me his baseball card years ago, he had like a 30.00 ERA for the few innings he pitched in the big leagues.
actually i have talked bases with this guy over the years, he doesn't even follow it hardly at all, but he is the typical "jock" type that won't let it go, he is always bringing it up around the ladies. now the dude is just a commercial/industrial cleaning products salesman.
