#2838Dude. He's giving away his picks for free on a forum. He isn't saying "this will win", he's saying what he's sports gambling on and we can join if we want. Don't expect winners, and if you start losing, stop tailing. That's what he's saying.Comment -

#2839At the end of the day it's your money and your decision.....I would hang it up if your relying on someone else to pick winners for you especially if your getting butt hurt over it....just sayingComment -

#2841Adding the Clips under 198.5
It looks like a break even night, although we win more games than we lost. The two unit games were costly tonight. That's not typical.Comment -

#2843D2D i've noticed you've been capping NHL better than most sports over the last week or two... maybe up those unit bets for a week or so to see how you do with them. Just a thought/observation.Comment -

#2844I think D2D has mentioned before that he feels NBA is his strongest sport and he does post some NHL plays as 2 units (see NJ the other night). I do agree that NBA totals have been a struggle the past couple days while his NFL and NHL picks seem to be an ATM machine at the moment. I am sure that will all even out over the course of a season though.Comment -

#2846Funny. The totals in the NBA is truly been my biggest money maker in my years of wagering. This last week has been a little tough, but certainly nothing bad...
I believe it is just variance. Look at tonight's Bulls game. This was going under big time, except for a crazy second quarter and now at the finish nobody can miss. Raptors has made three straight and so has Griffin. Is that typical? No. I believe that I was on the good side here....but again looks like it is going to be a tough, tough loss.
These things even out guys.
Edit: Dunkeavy making 3 straight 3's doesn't help. Ugly.Comment -

#2847Now a technical foul for bad language?? How fair is that?
and why the hell are they fouling in a 15 point game with a minute left? Seriously, what is going on?Comment -

#2850What a weird finish. Anyway, 6-3 on the night and up a unit.
I realize that I haven't updated everything for three days, mostly because we are playing break even ball. I will post the whole meal deal tomorrow, including screen shots of all wagers so there is no confusion. I know there have been a lot of games.

I am going to guess you mean in 2014?
Let me think it through. I did well in the NHL last year but struggled in the NBA down the stretch (my first time ever not winning in the NBA consistently). Then in the summer I absolutely crushed the World Cup and did well in MLB. NFL has been beautiful so far this year and a good start in the NHL and NBA.
Maybe be it would be easier to think it through in another way. Last year in January I had approximately $5,000 in my Pinnacle account and $5,000 in my 5dimes account. In April I withdrew $3000 from Pinny. In late spring I withdrew $5k from 5dimes and $2k from Pinny. In July I withdrew another $2500 from 5dimes and $2500 from Pinny. At the end of October I withdrew $2500 from 5dimes.
As of today I have $5600 in my 6dimes account and $6800 at Pinny.
Add that up and then withdraw $300 that I threw on some special at bet365 and $250 I threw away on one drunken bet at Bodog and you come to $19,350 less handling fees and withdrawal fees.
I think that is VERY close to what I did in 2013 as well.
I try to keep a minimum of around $5000 in my accounts and then only withdraw when it gets a little high. At Pinny I have thought about building it up and starting to bet larger...but haven't done it yet. I have only had 3 losing months in the last 24 months....and only one of them was BAD....I won't get too far in depth about that month, but it happened when I was taking a break from SBR last year. Gave back close to $8k in 30 days. I hope I never have another month like that again.
Picks to be posted in a couple of hours.Comment -

#2869I think the issue I have is by going in on just a few of your plays. It's definitely better to volume bet then pick a few games every night. More risk to lose a lot but in the end it's safer.Comment -

#2870cburland- yes. I agree with you. Find what works for you. Cherry picking doesn't always work. YOU are choosing what you think are the best plays. He is capping and generally, he is up with the majority of picks. Exactly what you said, "more risk but safer long term". I tend to agree with you.Comment
