Hard to cap a team not scoring for 6 minutes. Spent hung seriously wrong there. Seriously.

I've made two threads about how right now the Clippers are the most overrated NBA team so far. They're a good team, but right now they're just middle of the road. Been fading them all year until they turn it around which wont happen for a few weeks I bet.

With you on this D2D....have felt Clippers overrated for a while. Griffin can't do anything but dunk and they just never seem to have a lot of team chemistry. Fortunately there are plenty of other places to try to make money, right!! Anyways, thanks a ton for posting your plays.....you obviously put a lot of work into this and it's paying off!

Colorado Avs - New York Isles - Over 5.5


Two teams that are loaded at the tops of their roster with offensive talent, the Islanders and the Avs have both been languishing for Goals although the Isles have managed to put three wins in a row together. The last time these two teams played those on the over got hooped, as the Isles fired 43 shots at Varlamov and were stymied in a 5-0 defeat.

These teams can both fly and neither plays a defensive scheme, neither G has been particularly spectacular (aside from their earlier game) and I can honestly see a 5-4 or 6-4 type of final here....for who? If I had to lay money on it I would be taking the Avs at +129. They have the skill to shred the Isles defense.

Either way this should be a fun game to watch.

Prediction: 5-4 Avalanche

Charlotte Hornets - Portland Trail Blazers - Over 192.5


Yes, Portland is playing better defense these days, yes, Portland has changed their offense and are practicing a ball control that they did not last year, yes Portland has cut down on their fast break point.....I still love the over here.

Last year when these two teams played at the Rose Garden the final score was 134-101 (or something similar). I agree with you, the Hornets could be a better team this year but I haven't seen that lately. The Blazers last two home games would have qualified as under, but both of those were against quality opponents. Tonight is the Blazer's 4th game in 5 nights as well....but that just means that they can play, no need to think about tomorrow.

Charlotte can throw up points as well, and their recent struggles have come with both teams playing poorly, not because of exceptional defense. In this game they will get to spread their wings a bit, so look for Jefferson to put up a steady 20-12 and for Lance Stephenson to finally get it going with a 20+ point game. I think Batum's long arms not being in the lineup will be a big advantage for Charlotte's O as well.

If I had to take a side here I would say Portland covers the 7 points.

Prediction: Portland 108 Charlotte 98

One quick note, for those of you that may wonder why I didn't place a wager on the Dallas Star's game....it is because I missed the good number. Last night they were +103 and today they are -107....and that 10 point swing is enough to keep me off of this game. I should have known that they line would move as John Q loves teams that can score, but that is my bad.

I mentioned this.....Batum being out, helps the OVER IMO. Long arms, decent defender, good rebounder and his scoring is easily replaced for the Blazers.

I rarely bet individual team totals, just a personal preference....but if you aren't getting juiced to death it is a pretty solid play. I would not go over -115 to -125 on it though.

Rarely my friend. You may see 5 or 6 selections during the season and they only come around when I either have fantastic info or I see a game as clear as day. I understand that it may be a a great sport to make money on, but I just don't have enough info on it to make any really good decisions.

In the NHL, NBA and especially the NFL I really know the games and the teams....add some select CFL games and MLB (where I had a good year after a crap 2013) and I feel comfortable placing wagers. Get me out of my comfort zone....and yikes. I had actually deleted the ATP from my plays now....after having a great 2012,2013 and start to 2014 I got killed at the US Open and in the hardcourt season and I won't touch it again....

Basically my advice is to bet what you know....

Haha, very true. I believe (I do not have the hard facts to back this up) that RLM has worked for me being on the opposite side more often than not. I understand that RLM hits and average of something like 55% across all major sports (just guessing a number from the data I have read)....but I make my pick and stick with it, and if RLM can get me a better number, then more power to me!

My original lean (before I looked at anything else) was 'Lakers', but when you boil it down the play here is definitely the Grizz. I know that teams typically coming off of winning streaks tend to struggle, but I think the Grizz are entirely too mature for that. I just don't see the Lakers defending down low at all, and getting the ball movement that is needed to score on the D of the Grizz. At the same time, a great capper hits 55%, and this is still only a one unit wager....

Pavelic was terribly inconsistent last year, in fact enough so that the fans in Winnipeg constantly shouted for Al Montoya.....Al Montoya? Fans in Winnipeg were insane to do that. While Pavy has been inconsistent, so was the defense in front of him.

This year he looks like the guy that many (including myself) believe him to be.

Good luck, and I totally understand your reticence....but at +139 on a game that I think (based on the way both teams are playing right now) is a 50/50 I will take my chances and congratulate you if the Habs happen to cash.
