sally, i'll give you some advice. don't do what i did all my life. there were times it was 97 deg and not a cloud in the sky.. my buddies would call me at 9 am and say, nicky, we're all heading to the beach.. 8 guys, 6 girls, a big gang.. lots of beers, steaks on bbq, my buddy had a big yacht, lots of girls too... and i'd say no and stay home in a hot apt just so i can gamble all day.. while all my buddies are out enjoying life at its fullest. smelling fresh air and just being young and out there seeing life and having great memories, and where was i, home with the windows closed, the blinds closed..and losing 896 bucks while going 2-13..

yeah, how fun was that? then i'd say, damn, i wish i would have gone today and had fun and saved 896 bucks. and then next sunday rolls along, same phone call i get, same thing i do again.. i wasted my life, sally.. don't make same mistake as me. go out and enjoy it. dont let gambling take over your life. it will ruin it..

I got 6/6 but i am pretty sure i am not a sick addicted gambler. I like to post at the forums and follow the sports and the spreads but I haven't bet a game in maybe 6 months. I also take lots of time off from the forum, so somedays when I am super bored (or its late) I spend a few hours on the forum. I like to check scores when I am out, but I like to do that anyway regardless of betting or not. Plus I like to stay in and watch the game because I live in CA and its pretty every day so I sort of take it for granted, cuz I can get perfect weather every day. Regarding missing tv shows. Shows are not a biggie if I tivo it and watch it later. A game loses a bit of enjoyment if I am not watching it live. So I am trying to maximize my net enjoyment.

Iono Nicky is going to say that I am making excuses but I think the fact that I haven't bet for a while and that I didn't bet shit when I did is in and of itself a good reason for me not being a "sick motherfuking degen"

this test is really flawed nicky. a few things need to be changed...
1. of course we watch a game over a tv show. we can always dvr the show or watch it online.
2. when we go out to parties and to the bar and stuff, you should ask if we have the laptop in the car to check scores and bet at halftime lines and such.
3. i think that if you sit at home in the summer and watch a boring fukking 3.5hour baseball game, you arent necessarily a degen, probably just a fatass with no friends or hobbies and watching that boring shit is your best option.

technology has definitely changed peoples levels of degeneracy

ps. nicky if you can actually watch all of sams video without falling asleep, my hats off to you

Nicky you do great with odds and philosophy types of things but there is a flaw in this questionairre. Every question other than the 1st says "Have you ever". Every gambler alive has done those things at least once so every gambler would have to answer yes to all. The questions should be like "Which do you do more often, watch the game you bet on or watch your favorite TV show?". That way you get which one is the priority. The way you have it phrased will cause a yes answer from everyone here.

If it was phrased the way I had it in the previous paragraph I would have answered no to most.

Well said nick. i enjoy the action but i only make very small plays. and in the summer my true addiction is golf , but i never bet baseball b4 and i know the league very well so i gotta give it a shot a least a month or two into the season. thanks for the advice though, appreciate the truth.
