Remington Steele or the A-Team. They were on back to back so it was a solid two hours of TV watching for me.

This was not an easy question to answer, but I've settled on 'The Practice' on ABC 1997-2004. The West Wing had the best dialogue of an TV show in history, but The Practice had the better stories. This is still the only well written show about criminal defense attorneys I've ever seen. It painted DAs as the scumbags they are, and showed just how much the innocent and guilty alike are at the mercy of the vigilence of those charged with their vigorous and unflinching defense.

It's a coinflip between The Simpsons and The Wire. I think I'd take The Simpsons in its prime but taking into account the declining quality over the years I'll say,
The Wire.

Lara Flynn Boyle is definitely a babe, but I'm not sure if I'd want to be where Jack Nicholson has been. If I had to pick someone from that show to sleep with, it'd probably be James Spader from the later seasons. Not only does he have the looks, but there's just something about the way he speaks that let me know he'd be wicked fun in bed.

Did you ever see the movie Crash? Not the dopey Oscar winning one; the David Cronenberg one - with James Spader. Based on your comments, I'm guessing you probably did. He had some interesting scenes in there.

Mudcat, that's a real classic you mentioned there. I know a lot of people take issue with the premise of the movie, but I just thought it was a really well selected cast breathing life into one of the more unique films of the modern era. And it's not too hard to believe. I've been in my share of accidents, and there's a strange giddyness and sense of vitality when you're confronted with your mortality and live to tell the tale. Indeed, I've had some great sex after those incidents myself.
Another great one with Spader is Two Days in the Valley, also from '96. I own that one as well as Crash.

These are the only two other shows that can compete with Seinfeld, for me.
I think I have to go with Seinfeld though.. Just because if you look at the entire body of work, it is so strong. So many shows and nearly all of them are very good, and it's still very rewatchable. The Office is a show which I find at its peak to be funnier than Seinfeld, but it has had some weak episodes. Still, if you count both US and UK versions there is a lot of good stuff there.
Arrested Development is also close. All the episodes are very good. But it just wasn't around long enough.

I know you said to pick just 1 Nicky, but that's impossible.
Mine are Seinfeld as well with MASH being a close 2nd.
I also liked Beachcombers. Wasn't Relic a shit disturber?
You also couldn't touch The Flintstones when we were younger Nicky.

I didn't know we were counting shows we liked as kids. In that case Thundercats, He-Man, Transformers, Sesame Street, all these were shows I was addicted to as a kid. I liked Heathcliff too. Garfield was good too but not as good as Heathcliff. Scooby Doo too. Inspector Gadget too.
Seinfeld was pretty funny.

i see now tons of seinfeld are coming in.. just as i expected. there were none in the first page, and now like 7 seinfelds in the last 9 posts or so.. good call on the Flintstones.. that could be easily #2 of all time.. bugs bunny was great, too..
i'm surprised so far no... mash (besides pucker), no taxi, no star trek, no taxi, no all in the family... these were all some real real classics..
