Anyone at SBR live out there? I need the skinny. The good and the bad. Sup with C-town, y'all? Canadian Tire might be transferring me out there to run a gas station.

I still remember the tag team combo of the hitman and Greg the hammer valentine and how at Wrestlemania 2 the British Bulldogs beat em for the title. That was a lot of fun and hilarious! LOL! I still have friends who insist that shit isn't staged.

Been there on two occasions buztah, and found it to be a very clean, well laid out city, easy for visitors to find their way around, friendly people, pretty areas to get away to within a short drive.

Have lived there in the past, still visit sometimes.

            Good:
            - a lot of young people and attractive women
            - low provincial taxes (low income tax and no provincial sales tax)
            - if you ski or snowboard, Lake Louise is a little less than 2 hrs away
            - housing bubble has burst there, so it might be possible to find a reasonable place to live

            Bad:
            - feels somewhat isolated
            - a lot of people in western Canada don't like people from Ontario
            - traffic is horrible.. infrastructure hasn't kept pace with the city's recent growth.
            - weather is bad. Often clouds over and rains in summer afternoons, and you don't get that many really hot days. Can be brutally cold in the winter. One thing is that the weather seems totally random-- you can get snow in June and have sunny 20 degree C weather in december.

The way I see it, whether it's a good place or not depends on how much you value the mountains. If you are a skier, hiker, or mountain biker, then it is a great place. If not, it is only average.
