    Watching american sports in Europe
    Please advice!
I would like to watch NBA/NFL/NCAAF/B games here in Europe. My internet connection could be only average (DSL). Any experience or ideas?
    Thank you.

If you want to pay for it, you can subscribe to the ESPN college gameplan for your computer. MLB.TV for baseball. And through Yahoo you can watch some NFL games.

Click these following links for the pages:

    MLB TV

    ESPN GAMEPLAN

    Yahoo NFL

        thank you,
do you think it is no problem with the internet connection? Sometimes is hard to watch the streaming letters at sportsline or espn here - so I am pesimistic about real time videos. I don“t want to pay for something useless.

wow, my country is listed on the main page, but the picture of it is something else than my country. The map there looks like Germany at WWII.

In England, I had a 0.5Mbps connection and was able to watch the individual matches on MLB.com with no problem. I believe that they changed their format this year and allowed for watching multiple games at once so I don't know how good the quality would be for that since I didn't subscribe this time. In any case, check with whichever supplier is offering the package - they will generally advise a minimum connection speed.

Have you tried downloading that TVUPlayer? It has ESPN and ESPN2 on it. You won't have selection of the games you want to see, but at least you'll get some games.

I was running a pretty old PC - 1.8GHz, 256MB memory and I was still able to watch the games and surf the internet as well. You mentioned on another thread that you had a wireless 1Mbps connection - as long as it's a pretty constant connection then I really don't think you'll have much trouble. From memory, I think that MLB.com quoted a minimum speed of 0.350(ish)Mbps for their service last year.

The TVUplayer can be downloaded various download sites, but below is the link to it on download.com.

Imo NASN might not be worth buying. I have had it for a year and they have lost their ESPN contract. They still show some live baseball, but almost no college football (Last week they showed one match, Auburn v whoever, and the second match was another SEC one on tape from the same starting time). MLB.tv is superior for baseball. NFL, NASN doesn't get. I get it on SkySports (UK) and Cnannel 5 on mondays.

I am pretty close to cancelling NASN just because I don't get any value out of it any more.

Ortho: NASN Europe have NFL and most other stuff. It's just NASN UK that doesn't have it.

NASN Europe and NASN UK have completely different schedules

Oh, that's good news for the Europeans, then. Hopefully some other provider picks up some of this good American content for the UK, especially college football.
