Talk about a huge, huge event being a bust like the Daytona 500 being the biggest event in their sport and having it end abruptly by rain where the winner only led on the last lap before it was called a complete race due to bad weather.
Why would anyone spend tons of money and look forward to going to something like that years in advance where it just ends without a conclusion. And how about betting on something like that. It's just a coin flip betting sport.
To a lesser extent you have baseball operating on the same bad weather terms but you have a game everyday for months on end and you have makeup games.
I equate the NASCAR dealie to ending the Super Bowl at halftime if it starts to rain.
