In the last 5 days I have spent alot of $$$ getting my car into top condition.
First, new brakes all around, then 4 new Bridgestone Potenza tires and today had a tie rod replaced and an alignment done.
My mechanic calls me at 12:45PM to let me know they just finished the repairs and they are going to put the car through the wash, I can come get it now.
10 minutes later my phone rings and mechanic says:
"Your car was just involved in an accident, it was hit by a truck"
WTF???
Yep, my beautiful Camry was minding its own business parked in the lot when another mechanic was parking a Kenworth rig and his foot slipped off the clutch and plowed into my car, doing quite a bit of damage to the passenger side of the car, estimated at over $3000.
I need both doors replaced and a paint job. This fukking car was in mint condition! Ruined my fukking day for sure.
So my insurance company gets me a rental, a fukkin Ford Fusion! 4 cylinder! Rental guy told me it was a V6, no chance this car is a V6 - if it is, Ford is in more trouble. I'm going back tomorrow to get a V6.
The mechanic that caused the accident felt very bad and helped me get the reporting of the details to the police, at least I won't get penalized - not my fault.
Life goes on, maybe the habs will lose a few more in a row and I'll cheer up real quick.
