Really expensive to get there from Europe, but i think this has all the hallmarks to be a great World Cup, and the Brazilian fans will add a great atmosphere - looking forward to it already!

Well Brazil is a huge country. The games are played hundreds of miles apart. I will wait and see where is the US going to be playing before I make reservations.

I don't know. The team I follow from Europe is Cyprus and they are out. Not sure why everyone is asking me about Greece all the time. I think JJ spread the false rumors I follow Greek soccer.

Brazil is very expensive now. Brazil is good in charging premium price for crap stuff. There will also be a lot of protests during this world cup. Brazillians are fed up with corruption and they will use the world cup to bring the worlds attention by protesting crazy. If you go to these host cities, you are looking at paying Four Seasons room price for crap 3 star hotels.

The packages are a joke so far,the best I could find for someone coming from the UK was £7000 for the flights and accommodation, not including match tickets.

That's nuts. I could buy 2 years' worth of Chelsea match tickets and transport to games with £7000 (not including euro aways).

Yeah I went to the South Africa World Cup on a package which cost less than half of that and it included tickets.

Definitely going!! My mother country's first ever tournament, can't pass that up. Gotta root for Bosna and the Yanks
Travel within the country will be a nightmare...can't wait to see what the groups look like though. I justify the cost by looking at the next two world cups...Russia and Qatar...I'd rather be in Brazil

It will depend on the match you want to see. Like for example if you want to see the Broncos play the Chiefs this Sunday would you stay in New York because it's a better city (not saying that it is)?

No place is dangerous if you aren't a goddamn douche. People are People are People. Stop being such a goddamn shut-in American and leave the comfort zone, it's awesome out there.
(Obviously, standing on the Gaza Strip while shit is popping off being one of the few exceptions - as is most warzones).
