Is it the Bonds, Sosa's, Arod's of baseball....Or is it the fans and the owners who are even more guilty. Look we saw the HR chase between Big Mac and Sosa both guys hulking up. Are we to say we had so much fun watching the chase we couldnt see a size difference? Or the owners and baseball itself who made multi millions
with fans having so much interest in baseball again. Yes it was back in our living rooms everyday we had to see that next Homer!!!!!
Come on we are all guilty, baseball itself more so than anyone else.
Bonds once a string bean turns into a massive hulk and catches Hank Arron did we care that he looked like a body builder or did we watch every night trying to see that great HR in baseball history.
I'm not saying what happened was good for baseball it wasn't, but what I am saying is I understand how some of these guys wanted the fame and money that we asked for them to have. Yeah there's bad parts to it...the guys who didnt use well the playing field wasn't even for them and they probably made less money for it.
The users did however risk time with their families steriods can kill so they actually risked some parts of their lives in the long run. Now is the end of the steriod era hopefully, use now and your guilty yourself, baseball is actually taking steps to stop the use and even the playing field back up. I don't blame they guys who did it when we asked for it or when baseball turned a blind eye because of the profits they made.
I do find it funny the commissioner says Arod shamed the game. Didn't all of us shame the game? Does he really believe baseball was clueless to what was happening. We as fans didn't we see the difference, Yes we did but we were enjoying the chase so much we were blinded.
I feel for the guys getting drilled they just wanted to play the game and become bigger hero's. They take the rap for all of us, for baseball itself.
Here's a message to the commissioner.....SMC ya fake you knew "YOU" shamed the game.
