Man up. Don't lie to the guy, just say you are a broke degenerate, but that you aren't a stiff. Pay him $50 a week until it's paid off and stop gambling.

you should pay the man people are right the gambling gods will get ya. I have stiffed 3 bookies in my youth and now the gambling gods are KILLING ME. I havent had a winning season in 4 years. Everytime i get a call i get scared and i am CONSTANTLY looking over my shoulder.

You dont wanna live like that man. Out of that hundo give him 25 a week so you can give him SOMETHING. Dont be like me unless you wanna always have that fear in the back of your mind that someone COULD come after you.

If you only have $100 to your name you need to get a job or put down the crack pipe. Or both. Get yourself together.

But nobody said that, because it's all shit.
It's not standard industry to give a mulligan, not the boiler room I worked for, and none of the other shops gave a mulligan to the best of my knowledge.

We have given a regular or two a 'discount', but never a mulligan.

stiffing a local can be fun and also dangerous
                        many are low lifes anyway

I pay debts though so would never stiff

                        30% do though

Yes yisman it's an inside joke I posted on a thread between RUTGERS football team versus university of Houston a few weeks ago... "The Situation" is a character in a reality TV show known as "Jersey Shore"... As for this thread payment plan is best to do and not be a stiff...

golds right most locals are complete low lifes, but this guy has been around a while so its more likely he doesnt fall into that category.

you give him 50 or 100 a month youll feel much better about it.

Most books understand, tell him you can pay 50 or 100 a week until the debt is paid.
If you continue to gamble with him, have him limit you, by that I mean, once you are down a certain amount, you are cut off until you pay it down.

Most books are not hardasses, they are business men, they understand and most will work with you.

Don't stiff anybody, once you are labeled a stiff, it's a tough label to get rid of, and it's pretty low.
I worked for one of these guys too...did some "collections". Most books aren't going resort to anything that will draw attention to them and will offer payment plans or "deals" in some cases, but you'll still be labeled a stiff if you bolt. If someone crosses this thread in the future and is thinking about running, hopefully the one they take away from is what Nash said. It's a small world, especially in a smaller city, your paths will cross one day.

This is the biggest problem of the U.S. The young generation never ever take any responsibility. Most of them are very irresponsible.

Man up and pay the money.
