Pitt/Uconn... wagering or watching?

great matchup on a small college hoops day. two current #1 seeds for the Ncaa tourney if it started today.

as I predicted....the line is 2.5 at alot of shops now.

this may be the first of 3 meetings between these two teams, which is rare in the big east, as most teams only see each other 1 time now.

home/away split is the most common outcome with the hot team winning the tourney matchup as these two teams own the Big East tourney.

most people here seem to love Uconn here, but I think Pitt is the play even on the ml, as they are just firing on all cylinders right now...and uconn is basically a 6 player team in what promises to be a very very physical and/or foul heavy game

Pitt has tooo many weapons, and a solid defensive/team mindset pedigree

I originally wanted Pitt plus the points. Thabeet is playing so well that Im going with Uconn ML now (Even without dyson). As you mentioned, the spread is dropping so im waiting a few hours to lay my bet.

Thabeet plays well against inferior competition.....but tends to get dominated for be invisible against strong and tough competition.

i mean uconn is number 1, they should be favored
i dont see any value in taking a worse team, on the road, even at plus money

who is gaurding sam young here? adrien? Robinson? both are gonna have big big problems with his game

will Price/walker keep fields out of the lane?

who is gaurding Biggs and his inside/outside game?

I'll take Blair over Thabeet, as blair brings his game up vs tough competition... Blair's style means you better body him up on the blocks or he'll score all day... thabeet needs space for his shot-blocking style.... they'd be better served to have Adrien gaurd Blair, and let thabeet come over to help.....

but they can't do this, because Thabeet can't gaurd young or biggs

bottom line, pitt has the top player (arguably) at his position in the B.E at THREE spots...with more role players then uconn does..

i like uconn ml or pts, but if i were on pitt, id take ml, why bother with 2 or 3 pts.
as for the late game, i like texas a and m a lot more than i like uconn

Archie, I'd put T-Will in front of Sam Young. Fields may be the best PG in the league but Blair is def. the best big man (him and Gody are head and shoulders above the pack)

I like williams alot, and I think him and Sam Young are similar in alot of respects... but Williams isn't as explosive of a scorer right now.... and lately his shot has been horrible and is barely scoring at all. Young has been more consistent and has gone off for bigger scoring games. I like the other facets of Williams' game better though, he finds the open man and crashes the board hard...

but if I were picking between the two of them I'd have to take young at this point, especially if I were picking for Pitt, as Pitt doesn't need the extra things that Williams brings as much at they need Young's matchup difficulties and scoring ability
