9 points separate the 5th place team from the 15th place team!

San Jose, Detroit, Calgary, and Chicago all appear to have their spots pretty much in hand... but those last 4 spots are as wide open as I've seen in a while. Should make for some great hockey down the stretch!

Canucks are playing well....Edm really starting to step their game as well.

Don't forget about that team in Dallas either, they know what it takes to win and they are starting to get healthy again. Until that slip up last week against the Avs, they really had been playing well.

Amazing how well Dallas has played, storming back from being last in the West a few months ago. You can never put enough emphasis on being healthy and sound goaltending.

I'm still curious to see if Edmonton can withstand losing Visnovsky for the year... but so far so good.

Still 25 to 30 games left, so early to tell, just great stuff.
