#11Do any one of you wanna-be gamblers want to tell us why you think Stanford will win tonight? We know from your records that your gut feelings mean nothing. You guys have no clue, do you? Absolutely no clue at all. You just love to see your garbage posted, but you have no legitimate reason to post, except to tell us who you think will win, which we could care less about. Give us some insight.Comment -

Stanford is at home for one and they are the only team that ever gives Oregon trouble.
If Stanford is able to run the ball with success which i think they can
they can control the clock and limit the number of possessions for Oregon.
This is by far Oregons toughest game on the schedule and Oregons only
real chance to miss the national title.

#19Thurs night NCAA dogs are usually $$. However Stanford regardless of clock possession is up against a team who can score at will. Place will be rocking but Oregon Qb is the best in college and should solidify his heisman run tonight. Just don't think they can handle that up tempoComment -

Two things that should bring up red flags for Oregon fans. First, there are NO injury problems with Stanford. Not on offense or defense. Second, Oregon RB De' Anthony Thomas ran his big mouth off and said that Oregon "Should at least put up 40" points against Stanford. Just what Oregon wanted. Bulleting Board material for Stanford, a team that is 5 times as physical as Oregon is. Oregon cannot defeat physical teams. UCLA is a "semi" physical team and held Oregon to 21 points in three quarters before finally caving in. That will NOT happen when Oregon plays at Stanford. Oregon is very talented and very quick, but Stanford just kicks a**. You can get Stanford + 11 at the Wynn. The line keeps climbing and the books keep smiling.

2011: 53-30 Oregon
Outside of beating them last year I would hardly say Stanford has consistently "given Oregon trouble."Comment -

#24Said this since the UCLA game, Oregon's talent is small and fast and were manhandled by the slower but strong Bruins. They took over in the second half because they missed chances and were worn out.
Stanford is UCLA 2.0. Just as fast and stronger. They will too manhandle the Duck talent keeping the game close but where it goes different is that they will take advantage of opportunities where UCLA didn't. Add in the game at Stanford makes it all the more nicer.Comment -

#35Heres how I look at this game. The stakes are high in this one as the winner will be left out of national title contention. Now Stanford being at home will give bettors reason to side with them given their reputation as spoilers including knocking USC and Oregon off last few years. Oregon as usual is coming in rolling with a QB that is hitting on all cylinders. Last year Stanford took the Ducks by surprise containing their quick-hitting attack using disciplined scheme on defense. Now a lot of that ability was in credit to Stephan Taylor who was a workhorse behind the power run game. Gaffney is a good back but Im not sold on how good he is vs a top flight D like Oregon. Hogan n co. will try to seize the rock and control the possession to take the air out of Oregon's offense. On the other side Oregon this year has an added dimension to its offense which is the vertical passing game and mariota connecting on a good chunk of those throws. Despite Stanford and their complex aggressive style on defense I like the Ducks this year to throw more downfield this time and have the weapons in Huff and Addison to torch the back unit. Add in Deanthony Thomas n the emergence of Marshall at TB n ur talking about an Oregon offense that may be the most explosive in team history. Add in the motivation for Oregon to deliver revenge and I expect razor sharp focus the entire night. Stanford will hang tough because of the strength of their defense but Ive seen too many stalled possessions and inconsistency from Hogan to believe he can match Mariota play for play. Unfortunately Palo Alto will be rocking but I expect the Ducks to eventually break through and pull away in this one using a much diverse unpredictable attack through the air. Count on the Ducks here, Oregon -10 to get closer to reserving a title game ticket. GL.Comment
