Not a fraud but has looked uncomfortable and seems his improvement curve has flattened. I would agree that he can not carry the team. If LSU wins it will because they held bama to 24 or less points. Mettinberger getting 11 points is not a terrible bet but I think the defense gives up 30+.

LSU will be held to 10pts or under the way they've been playing. I do not see a TD for LSU unless the Alabama D lets one slip them by.

LSU has become flat. Meltdownburger is not an elite QB by no stretch of the imagination. Big games or pressure of any kind and he has a diaper blow out. I thought at the beginning of the year LSU was the best team in the country. Mettenburger throwing to Laundry looked unstoppable with a solid run game. This offense finds a way to kill drives by way of penalties or missing open receivers against mediocre teams. They will give the ball up to Bama's D a few times in this one. As one poster stated the DC for LSU is a passive, scared to get burned deep, rush three, soft coverage type approach. It will take a little longer for this Bama O to get down the field. LSU gets their fair share of stops in this game. I don't see LSU getting more then 17-20 points optimally. Bama puts up 38 optimally. I like the under. Saban runs straight at this defense and attacks down field vertically through the air to keep em off the line. Saban will dictate to the Defense what they can and can't run. Nothing fancy just getting the job done with low percentage of errors and execution. I obviously like laying the points in this one. I try to stay away from big match ups but, with Saban off of a bye laying les then two TD's, against a team that can't put up big numbers on unranked teams due to poor play. This is a squares dream!!
