Like I said, Martin's parents forced the Dolphin organization to suspend Incognito after claiming they stood behind him, which looks foolish, but that's no surprise from this club. Martin's camp will try to save their name, and they have the money and the legal power to do so. In high school I had a class with a guy that was ridiculously big. I'm talking 6'5" 250lbs of pure muscle. The kind of guy that was just naturally that way without any effort. Not only was this guy big, but he was also trouble. 17 years old and already wearing an ankle monitor and in and out of jail.

One day in class he plays the "open chest" game with me and punches me dead on out of the blue. On pure instinct I fire right back and nail him right below the chestplate. At this point I realize that this guy is seriously going to fk me up. Instead, he's hunched over trying to catch his breath. I knocked the wind out of him and when he regained his breath he started laughing and shook my hand. Told me that no one ever stood up to him before and we were friends the rest of the year.

Innovation's post above sums it up perfectly. Martin never had to man up and find himself. They called him out on it and he folded. Did it go too far? Probably. I've never been in that type of locker room environment but I'm guessing this goes on all the time and 99% of the players will immediately man up, even if it means taking a beating.
