Seriously though ... if you've watched the Eagles this season as I do ... the game planning has been very different with the two QBs. Foles has executed better for sure, but he's been put in much better situations for success. Might be the O-line too, but whatever ... Chip should stick with Foles so he stops looking incapable of being a head coach on any given week.

VIck lost to the two best teams in the league and had a big lead vs. Giants on the road before getting injured and he torched San Diego in a loss. Both of them are real good, Foles team next year for sure but I still like Vick for this year.Comment -

He was definitely hurt that game and I think Chip refused to put Barkley in until Foles got KO'ed.
I say this a little tongue and cheek, but even Barkley moved the ball. It can't be all Vick making incorrect decisions, etc. as some would like to claim. For whatever reason, Chip calls plays differently with Vick in there. I think part of it is the running aspect. With Foles or Barkley, that is not really an option so I think the play calling reflects that some.
It's a stupidly intriguing team because of how bad the East is. Their defense has really show some decent signs in the last month. If they actually have an offense that scores points and doesn't just pile up yards ... they're something to watch down the stretch.Comment -

I don't think Master Chip has enough consistency as a coach for this team to make the playoffs. We'll see how they do next week against Green Bay. My thing is I expect him to try and use EXACTLY what worked today next week and if the other team adjusts, he's fukked. These are the games where he looks great. Early success and a team unable to cope with the speed of the offense. When Philly doesn't get going early, he's painfully slow to do anythng different.Comment -

Big reality check for the defense next week. This four week stretch where the D played reasonably well enough to let them win if the O had shown up has featured some POS teams. I think the D is still a problem and I expect GB puts up 30 fairly easily. I would also expect GB's D to play better than Oakland did - they were awful and didn't really make Philly do anything different than what they started the game with. Some good throws by Foles, but several busted plays a middle school QB could make too for TDs.Comment -
Chip Kelly has favored Foles since getting there. The guy had a weird obsession with the kid in the pre-season. Hell, he was all praise for Nick when he was at Oregon.
It's the NFL, QB's need to make throws, not run.

Vick can make throws, but it seems to me there is a different aura around the offense with Foles. If you're the leader of a team and you don't notice this and stick with the guy who is killing it - you shouldn't be the head coach. From the play calling to the O-line protection, it's just different with Foles vs. Vick. Again that has to have something to do with Vick's scrambling vs. Foles who is always going to be more of a pocket passer, so maybe that helps everyone across the line. In any case, I like this kid. He's had some stinkers, but he's shown enough to earn starts for the rest of the season. Use Vick for a change of pace if you want, but Foles deserves to be #1.Comment -
