The Sad State Of College Football

So the only way for teams to move up the polls and get a better bowl game to earn more money is to run up the score on inferior opponents. So they keep the starters in for 4 quarters instead for letting the scrubs play and keep going up tempo and throwing with a 6 touchdown lead with 7 minutes left in the game.

What happened to good sportsmanship? It's pathetic watching these teams. Look at Texas A&M. They are up 6 TD's at HT and they keep playing like the game is 0-0. And why? So they can move up from #12 to #11.

I remember playing in a hockey tourney and they had a rule if you are up 10 goals the game ends.We were winning 9-0 in the second period and our coach said don't score any more , all of a sudden we had a break away and the player on my team circled around the net and never shot the puck so we could keep playing.Thats when the other coach went nuts and threw a garbage can on our bench and started a fight.The more I thought about it I agreed with the other coach and not mine.

Yep independents are forced to have probably week in and week out toughest schedule....that is if they have any bowl aspirations.

It's far more insulting to take it easy on an opponent and show pity for them than it is to keep trying your hardest until the final whistle.

Worse is in a few weeks when Idaho travels to play FSU. Fresno St put up 61 on idaho
