got to say nw vs. ohio st. you could foresee the bengals/dolphins game ending in a safety. but nobody saw that fumble-rooski in the nw game.

Keep in mind only 2 NFL OT games in history had ended in a safety.

it's not about what has happened in the past. it's about what you are watching unfold at the time.

nw ohio state by mile, if you need overtime you deserve to lose.
not to mention nfl game was 17-17 late anyways and the line was 41.5 at a time so you could have won the over in that game anyways. like someone else said, game could have possibily tied as well.

Definitely not last night's game. I got the total as low as 42, so I got a push. And that was available for several hours up close to kickoff, so if you had it higher - shitty shopping on your part. I'd go NW-OSU.

OSU game and it's not even remotely close.
There was only like 5 minutes left in the Bengals game. Could have easily ended 20-20.

Northwestern/Ohio State
not even close
if the over hit on the Dolphins game, any over bettors would've been very lucky and gotten bailed out.
Overtime shouldn't count for spreads/totals in the first place. If you bet a favorite or over and it wins in OT, you're just very lucky. It's not a 'bad beat' to not get very lucky.
Plus, the game could have ended in a tie. 5 minutes left. Cincinnati drives it 20-40 yards, then punts. Would be very unlikely Miami would score at that point. 20-20 final.

Coming from someone who was on the winning side in both of those contests..... (sue me haha)
Its definitely the Northwestern game. Because NW did it to their own fans!! Think about it... ouch. The fumblerooski from inside your own 10 yard line makes absolutely ZERO sense when the entire purpose of a lateral has to be a BACKWARDS pass (or exactly a lateral).
EDIT: I had under(43)

I started this thread this morning already!! Wich was more heartbreaking! What's up with that, thought u were a mod n ur duplicating a newbies thread! I say Mia, everyone thought the over was a lock. Being on Ohio state I was playing that scenario in my head. I thought, well they r gonna be doing crazy flee flickers so there is a chance a freshman or some special teams player would intercept one and go for his glory. Not exactly what happened but close. I guess I saw it coming. If I was on nw I would have known for a fact that was gonna happen! Lol but being on Ohio I figured there was a small chance!! Great post anyways!!

Why not the Saints +2.5 when they lost to Patriots a few weeks back in last second? That stunk a lot too.

im amazed anyone said b actually, should be 100% a, i think if you asked this in 2 months it would be, what makes ohio st even worse is that they were never covering except that play, thatll be hard to top.

This. I don't know why people are acting like the safety is the only way to lose the over there. Not even a top 10 bad beat of the year

Ditto, had 42 and went under.
Thought it was gold in the first half, thought is was sunk in the second.
I will take my push with a smile on my face.

The Bengals/Dolphins game was over/under 42.5?
Oh man that would have made me so sick if I had bet the over; I would have started celebrating once it was 20-20 going into overtime
