do you guys bet the first few weeks of the season a little lighter at first? I never feel fully confident coming out of spring training..... I know their are some weaknesses in lines, but to me, the linesmakers have a better idea and inside info on breakout players and previously good starters that may tank

Depends, I fade the Big Name Older pitchers early in the year. The #s are usually way over inflated.

good stuff franky, will you be fading the Big Unit next year?
I guess a better question might be how do the linesmakers use their info.... if they have a good reason to suspect a good pitcher like webb is not gonna start out, or have a good year period...
do they still throw some zona -190, -210 ect lines out there for the chalk eaters out there? would that make them more money then they lose, since less people are gonna take the dog in the situation

^ IMO yes. Books will over inflate a big name pitcher because too many will eat the chalk regardless. The old guys take longer to get into form and dont like the colder weather.
