Odds on Cubs NOT winning world series
    -1250 @ 5dimes

I'm thinking of pulling out some money out of stocks for the time being and putting 12,500 on this to win 1,000

that's gotta be a better return in 10 months then any solar stock is gonna give me for a few years....just gotta wait, and make sure the cubs don't get peavy

I think it's a safe play, but I wouldn't tie up my money for that long unless I am getting good + odds.

Its a lock every year. Doesn't matter if they get Peavy, they're cursed.

I would wait a little longer. Cubs nation will pound the Cubs to win the Series like they do every other year therefore I think you can hold out for -1000 or maybe even better.

I will be making small ($25-$50) plays on the Cubs and Mets winning it all, so the annual jinx will be in effect.

Chi Archie.......If we can think of a way to set this up, I would love to make a straight up bet with you.
I'll take that the Cubs "WIN" the World Series in 2009. And if any other team wins it, you win.
I'm a huge Cubs fans......yeah, yeah......And was going to lay prob $500 on them to win it all this year.
I'd love to take those odd's... 500 to win 6250, or even 250 to win 3125..... If you know of a legit way to get this set up I'm all for it.

How did you come up with the Mets Willie?

Staring to think you did not make it...

I've made a play on them the last two seasons to win the NL, and as we've seen they have blown beets down the stretch each time. My Mets friends have offered to pay me NOT to buy futures on them this year, but I will anyway. I mean, I've got to spend my annual wager budget on something, might as well be a few pennies here and there on teams like the Cubs and Mets just to annoy their fans.

Anywho, got a question for you 5T. If your name is not on either the Made It/Didn't Make It list, exactly where do those posters reside? Are they in some sort of SBR limbo? God bless.

Willie, yes, that is exactly it. I plan on updating that list as we go and I've been keeping notes on posters.

                          Guys like Tsoprano ect...

I have strict criteria to decide who and who doesn't make it.

                          god bless you Willie.

I would say wait for the markets to come up at matchbook and I guarantee you will get a much better price than that. I just emailed and asked them to post their baseball futures markets to win the world series

Cubs will not win the World Series.

And Thanks fiveteamer, I really want to make it.

Can't argue that they've had a dry spell in terms of World Series wins. But there is no such thing in MLB as being entitled to a trophy just because a team hasn't won in a long time. My Astros are due as well, but it ain't gonna' happen this year.
