Wsex.com just cancelled my bet, whats the point when they do that?

I put a wager on one of the games in the Brazil Open yesterday with wsex.com. I confirmed the bet, it was accepted. And then 5 minutes later they cancel the bet because they said
"has been cancelled (all parlays reduced) due an obvious wrong line."

They go on to say its in their rules etc. So whats the point in using bookies when they can just cancel the bets after they have been taken, for whatever reason. If we try to change a bet, then its not possible, but they can do it.

I guess, the bottom line is these bookies can do whatever they like, and as long as its in their fine print then its cool.

Does this thing happen regularly with all bookies?

If it's an obvious bad line, the book has every right to void it.

Wherever you come across a bad line, it is best to report it to the bookm as they will probably add a few bucks to your account. It is NOT advisable to bet bad lines, as you will be labeled as a shot taker and may get banned by the book.

Right, compare the odds at the book to the current market. Another obvious errror would be a flip-flopped line (wrong favorite).

Im not sure what the odds were on another sports book, the wsex one definitely was a lot different though, the odds on there were hovering around the same amount for over an hour though, so I dont know why they didnt fix it in sooner time.
I was trying to do an arb bet, yeh I know, Im pretty silly! I placed both bets ok, and would have made 60% profit if they didnt cancel my bet, of course if one of the bets doesnt go through on an arb, theres no arb anymore and the favourite was the one that got cancelled, so Im stuffed, LOL. Serves me right jumping in at the deep end, although I made a 60% profit the other day when both bets were accepted (different bookie).
Is there anyway to protect yourself so you get the odds that you bet on, or is this failry common practice?

            thanks for the replies
