I will be leaving SBR permanently in about a half hour, but then I will decide to come back to SBR around 3 or 4 EST today.

Pavy do you have any opinion on Furman -1?? That seems like a very low line to me.

no one in the history of gambling forums has ever left and NEVER come back. forget it. it doesn't happen. the only way they dont come back is if they die.

Anything can happen on the Furman game. Line is perfect to induce Furman betting.

Nonsense. Lots of people leave and don't come back. You are seeing what you want to see. Extreme attention whores seldom go for good but I have known lots of regular people who have said, "There just isn't much of an upside to devoting time to a public forum," - and they just stop.

actually I quit for 20 years! I am back in avoiding the pit falls I made in my 20's. Odd I see the younger guys here making the exact mistakes I did back then. No money management, chasing and poor capping skills.

Well my money management is 100% better. I do not chase..even if painful... And I am working on capping skills... Back 2 months and I am up...

For the younger guys...overbetting, no money management(do not try to impress others by betting out of your range), and poor capping skills will wipe you out!

Also I see those that think having a record posted is so important! People can post records saying whatever they want! The best way to check on others is look back in their threads and see how their picks have gone.... I am very happy with the way my posts have been going good luck everyone...

From my experience on forums (going back to pre-Discus days when it wasn't even possible to register a username), those who really leave don't even make mention of it on the forum. They might inform a pal via e-mail or IM.

The reason for the big announcements on the forums is to test their popularity. They don't really intend to leave -- they want to feel wanted.

Just my opinion, could be wrong...

they alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll ll eventually come back.. be it 3 months, 3 yrs, 8 yrs.. they all come back.. sometimes in a different name, but they all come back.. TRUST ME.

VD should permanently disable accounts of anyone that creates a leaving forever thread.

This would put a stop to the drama queens squeezing more attention-whore juice out of people.

I agree. This is true in the vast majority of cases. Users like Brady2Moss/unit1184 make announcements that they're leaving because they're attention whores. They never leave. They just come back under a new name.

Hundreds of people have actually left, but they generally didn't make a fuss about it when they did. kdmfox left for good.

Forums are revolving doors. It's not like everyone is great friends with each other.

When people post those kinds of threads, it's because they want everyone to beg them to stay, to tell them how great they were, etc.

What's interesting is that those threads are usually started by #^$%@s that no one likes, so they don't get quite the response they were looking for...
