Onlooker Treo 700P or 700W?

One uses windows and one uses palm operating system. I read many prefer the palm operating system with a Blazer browser.

What do you prefer? Also I see now broadband speeds in any populated areas which must make browsing quicker.

Everyone in my office (about 8 people) uses the treo with Windows mobile and everyone of them...to a man...hates it. They complain that it locks up constantly and frequently drops everything from memory. They are now all changing after having them for less than a year.

One of my favourite memories from the past year was standing in the security line at Lambert airport in St. Louis while my boss starts ranting and raving and cursing loudly that his treo just crashed again. I thought they were gonna detain us for sure because he was ranting like a madman.

I managed to avoid it by being lazy and got a blackberry and it's not perfect but doesn't have the probs they are experiencing.

I'm not sure if this is a common thing or just that we got a bad batch or an early release with many bugs.

Doing what guys usually do - I bought the thing, THEN comparison shopped it versus the Windows version. You really can't compare the web capability, speed or stability. Outside of that, what else really matters? I don't need it for spreadsheets, but that might be a handy feature (there's got to be an app that lets you view them out there anyway). I guess it depends what you need it to do. I don't know enough of the advanced functions for say...Business. So, my opinion can only be based on how good it is for me.

It really helps when you're out and you need to get online for any reason (low juice wagering:> ).
You can get on a LOT more books with the browser than just the stock 'mobile' betting pages that a few books offer (not that many, really).

It is like a junior lap-top. It's not the best thing for forum posting/browsing (better than serviceable, though), but for general information web browsing or note taking, it's everything you'd want. It's not bad for email, either.

I don't need a newspaper anymore, I'll put it that way.
I spend more time looking at that screen than my PC monitor now, I'll put it that way.

Mac how is the palm version for web browsing? Are most sites compatible with that Web Blazer browser they use?
