was my first question.. says the books give him a credit because he stands to make a lot of money when he signs. If this turns out to be true, i'd be vary wary to sign him if i'm an NFL GM. People will do some crazy stuff to get outa debt.

The NFL is terrified of something like this. Now I'm not saying it's true, but imagine if it was and he went to the NFL. Look at all the "NFL is fixed!" conspiracy theorists we see after a day like yesterday. Now imagine them if a guy with a gambling problem threw a late INT or something like that.

What I take from this ... someone wanted to get their website more hits by posting this. Whether it's true or not, who knows ... but now that someone put the word out all the schleps at ESPN and other places will be mentioning this other site by name in quoting the report if they do carry the story. Given how flimsy the reporting/stores are on ESPN and other places, I would book it.

I agree the sources were unreliable. But I still think it is worth keeping an eye on.

definitely think the story is suspicious and could very well be false. still, if there are even small rumors about it any NFL team interested in him will do their homework before they draft him. Those guys are better than the FBI, could find out and where you did it the first time if they wanted to. They may keep it under wraps even if they do find out but they will get to the bottom of it.
