I just got back from Laughlin,Nevada and for the first time there I was hit up for change by quite a few bums hanging out on the river walk.I guess they moved out of Vegas because the competition was getting crowded. They said they needed to buy food.I told them that the what used to be the Flamingo was giving away free popcorn and soda. They said, popcorn sucked!

I suppose coming up with inventive recipes to make white rice taste good day after day sucks too but it's almost free and it beats standing in a friggin government food line.So I got on Google and entered free Sam's Club day pass 2009 and up pops quite a few links to print day passes good till the end of March.I took the $50 I was going to deposit at my favorite $5 correlated parlay sportsbook and bought 3 50 pound bags of rice,a 50 bag of popcorn and a jug of butter salt and 2 jugs of soy sauce. The stuff can stay dry and edible for years.

They said the stuff was selling off the shelf and they put a 2 bag per customer limit on bulk rice and popcorn.Kid gave me a break and let me get an extra one.Seems like everyone has the same idea.

Depending on what theory or situation you "subscribe" to, that's not a bad way to go in regards to food insurance. Do you have the room on your property for a small veggie garden?
