I like starbucks but I brew it at home to save on cost, spend about $10 every 3 or 4 weeks.

Mcdonald's coffee isn't that bad and Starbucks isn't that great.

It is often forgotten that all these coffee companies that use 100% arabica beans are getting them from the same fields. The differences are almost always in how deeply roasted the beans are.

When I worked for Seattle's Best Coffee we used the same exact beans as Starbucks did, only difference being is that with each type like "Columbian" or "Sumatran". The beans were roasted for 2 minutes less than the Starbucks beans.

Packaging has a lot to do with it also. At Mcdonalds all their coffee is pre-bagged in airtight packages that are proportioned for a single pot so you are ALWAYS getting fresh coffee which may be why their coffee gets such a high rating, where adversely at Starbucks. They are shipped in 1lb and 5lb bags respectively and ground up on ONE day of the week.

No matter where you get your coffee from (sans at home) it will taste best where that establishment has the best procedures for freshness and sanitation.

Black coffee at any fast food joint is pretty sub-standard. Generic watered-down crap. I only tolerate Tim Hortons' double double along with a couple donuts when I crave sugar. Other than that, I always grind and brew my own coffee - got an entire cupboard shelf stuffed with various types of roasted beans.

Its funny you mention Coffee Expert.

I actually still have my certification as a Starbucks/SBC Coffee Expert which is this 9 page test and demonstration you must do. It was out of hand but it involved a pay raise and looks good on a resume.

Oh and BTW, I don't drink coffee it taste like a variety of cigerettes.

I've only had Tim Horton's a few times when I was in Quebec but not for coffee they had badass pastries though.

DD has very good hot chocolate, I'm sure its made of complete crap you could do better at home but still.

All coffee chains and fast food places have no clue how to make coffee. Particularly hate Starbucks (aka milkshakes with a tiny dash of coffee), and always annoyed by places that pre-grind, so it's not fresh by the time it's actually used (once ground it literally loses freshness by the minute, by 30 mins it's dead).

Guys this is what the heavy hitters do. You get a starbucks card for yourself. Load with about $100 to $200. This way you aren't fumbling with cash when you get up there and not using credit cards getting yourself in debt. No signing anything and no pin numbers. Its just quick.

You buy the tall white chocolate mocha. When they ask you if you want whip cream you say yes.

Do not buy the Grande or the Venti. These two feature 2 expresso shots instead of 1 but they are not nearly as good because the whip cream is not as prevalent. Enjoy fellas.

Even worse is when people order a shot of expresso and they want whipcream on the shot.

pavy its not even really coffee. Its a mocha. Its just 1 shot of expresso mixed with heaven. Doesn't really taste like coffee, more like a hot piece of paradise

But you get the caffeine fix too because of the shot of expresso. Just try it paver you will not be disappointed. Its very expensive though so I try to limit them to 1 or 2 a week.

Absolutely not pavy. Just when you are going about your regular day and can't suck on any titties at the moment and are by a Starbucks, the mocha with whipcream is a decent substitute until you can suck on whipped creamed titties later. M'K?
