We advanced in the knock out stage in the last WC and the one before and the one before that. US team is in the top 16 of the world. Only teams we can't beat are the likes of Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Germany but we are competitive with all others.

They are all better but who gives a fukk if you make it out of the group stages, anything can happen in one game with extra time/pks

US at full strength is atleast good enough to give it a go against these type teams

like usual usa will have to prove it in the summer, this is what happens when you qualify against the dregs of the world, they cant even judge themselves by mexico results anymore. concacaf is by far the easiest to qualify in, you never face a 2 leg scenario at any point and just have to get 3rd outa 6 in the final stage and 4th sends you to a playoff.

now as for leaving mexico in it, im a little bit torn on it actually, they have months to correct their problems if they can get by new zealand, but they owed it to themselves and the game to try and win that game last night.

im fairly optimistic about usa chances this summer, they are better managed now then 4 years ago and have a better player pool, i thought 2010 the only reason they made the ko stage was a ridiculously weak group. pavys wrong about 2006 btw, thats the year ghana sent them in home in the group stage.

this time around the usa should make it through the group stage without the aid of the draw.
