SBR doesn't encourage nor condone posters engaging in bets with one another, such activity might occur outside this board but typically leads nowhere except downhill.

That being said, while the behavior or actions of posters outside of this forum might be deplorable or in violation of 'gambling code' or devoid of honor, this isn't the moral court of the world and those simply seeking a place to post are free to.

Same thing with Casper's legendary thread about being "average". That thread was happily in Players Talk for 3 months, and now SBR is determined to "clean house." It's official, they've decided to make the forum gay, just not in the good way.

SBR has gone down the shitter with the new "philosophy" for Players Talk. I'm at the point where I'm going to continue in SBR Chat, but post in other forums. I never thought I'd see the day that EOG looked more interesting than here, but that day has finally arrived. I find it disgraceful that it's not the gay-bashers that drove me from this place, it's the over-zealous Mods with no concept of propriety or respect.

It's true, I've been told many times by insiders that the greatest flaw of the SBR Mods is their practice of favoritism towards posters that provide the most "liquidity." It's a huge disappointment by an otherwise outstanding bunch.

There is a very good possibility I misjudged the situation.....At the same time I still got to go with mods.... I have no time to check out all posts/threads and am hopeful these guys (the policemen of the forum) will continue the excellence/courtesy that I have come to expect here...

especially a gambling forum losing a poster who knows about sports betting...that being said...forums will always exist with or without their most valued posters...just the quality and popularity of the forum will go downhill if all their members are tools that spew no useful information....when it comes to whatever that said forum exists for

in other words...after a while the acting of jj and nicky will grow stale...they could leave tomorrow or post everyday and SBR would still be here....but the vets will eventually move on...and newbies will catch on somewhere else...word of mouth gets around

Moving threads is a form of censorship and I dont like it. If a thread is moved there better be a darn good reason.

The difference is the threads here are what the posters want to post. Go look at the other forums. 80% of the threads are started by a paid poster, owner or mod of that site. Big difference here. The guys starting rate her looks threads are as welcome as anyone if thats what they enjoy.

Post and let post. I think Paul McCartney or Karen Carpenter made a cool song with that title not sure.

Personaly I like the gambling stuff. But what I hate worse than OT crapola threads is mods arranging chairs and threads like we are still in kindergarten.

Fact is, we can post pretty much anything we want here so long as it's not a personal attack against someone. That's a good thing.. Does it mean sometimes crappy threads will get overdone without being moved, probably but that's what comes with freedom lol...

Mods should have a darn good reason to tamper with any thread including moving them.

If they are moved because they are vulgar Id rather they remain in the main forum and have the vulgar part edited. But thats me. If a guy wants his thread in the Private Forum he'd of put it there in the first place. So dont move them!

I just culled these quotes from a thread to illustrate a huge disparity between how this forum was intended to operate and how things are done now.

The above quotes would lead me to believe that everything was okay in Players Talk considering nothing in the OP or responses even remotely approached the level of vulgarity. The Mods who move threads today don't even PM people to explain why it was moved, which I think would've been courteous, as well as educational so people don't cross the line repeatedly.

And Cloak, I really enjoyed your post. One little thing, though. If SBR were a gay bar, it'd be the ultimate failure. Most gay bars encourage a little unruly behavior because it creates a buzz and makes people feel at home, thus fostering a sense of loyalty. The way things are being done here now has removed all sense of being at home on this forum. I hope the Mods wake up before it's too late...
