Detroit - Boston OVER 7.5 +107 (selling half point)
can't even begin to describe how huge that come back was for the Boston line up. it's going to send a huge spark up and down the line up. proverbial firecracker up their asses.

JV has never handled speed well on the base paths well and when Jacoby and Victorino get on they will reek havoc. Boston is one of the best teams in the league at working DEEP counts and not swinging at the pitchers pitch. Even though JV coasted past the A's. he fell behind in a lot of counts, constantly having to battling back from 2-1 or 3-1, he was rarely ahead 0-2 consistently, Oakland could not make him pay. If he falls behind like that today Boston will mash him

I expect Verlander to go maybe 6..with 3-4 ER....then the Detroit bullpen to implode for even more, they have been over worked and their confidence is shot.

now for John Lackey...yeah this guy had bounce back regular season but he got hit pretty good in his post season debut for the Sox, lasting just 5.1 innings against the then, lowly hitting Rays team on 7 hits and 4 earned runs. - This Tigers line up is seeing the ball better with each passing game that goes by and expect Lackey to be chased from this game early.

this has all the makings a of a classic AL slug fest.

Never saw a guy selling off a key number before.

But if I stay at SBR long enough I will see everything.

    Good luck.

I am aware that some consider 7 and 9 "key numbers" in totals in baseball

but i am an absolute non believer in that.

7 runs is the most common number of runs in a baseball game.

Lower numbers are worth more than the higher ones; thats what he probably meant
In generell selling points though is only a great move if you want to lose your money faster than betting the original line.

You're a non believer in statistics?

Maybe you should find a new hobby then.

i get all that...I just don't buy into it, in this spot, and in the AL epsecially, is this bet right here and long term losing proposition bet? most likely. but this isn't something I would make on a daily bases. just a spot bet.

This most definitely is a losing bet long term.

i got no dog in the fight though and hope you win.

By my calculations you have a 41% of winning this bet.

Those calculations were based on before the game started obviously.

                                                  sure is.

got something in my back pocket tho that could bail me out and profit. but yes this bet is dead and I apologize to those who tailed.

Lackey and JV pitching like monsters.
