Play on Kentucky game Tues night

I was busy earlier so couldn't do a write up...here it is.

Two weeks ago Kentucky was 16-4 and 5-0 in the SEC and a 4 seed on ESPN's Bracketology. The fanbase was happy, ready to hang a banner for Coach Billy Gillispie. Since then however, Kentucky is losers of 3 straight games, all of which being around 10 point favorites, and 2 of those being at home. Arch-rival Florida comes in to Lexington on Tuesday night as a 4 point underdog, and frankly I do not see how Kentucky wins this game. Ever since the Ole Miss game (the first game of the 3 game losing streak), there has been tape showing how to shut Kentucky down, and Billy Donovan will obviously employ the same defensive strategy.

The plan will be to run a zone to keep forward Patrick Patterson from getting touches and doubling him when he receives the ball. Guard Jodie Meeks will have the Gators' best defender chasing him all night and not allowing him to catch the ball. The other 3 players on the court for Kentucky at any given time are not SEC material and opponents dare them to shoot. At this point of the season, especially at home, those players will not shoot the ball because the fans are relentless and hate everyone on the team not named Meeks or Patterson.

In Billy Gillispie's second year, he has shown that he will not make any kind of adjustment whatsoever. He has said on his radio show and to the media that there will be no personnel changes or philosophy changes at the time being. Kentucky should not be backed until a change is made, and as long as no changes are made, Florida +4 is the play and sprinkle some on the ML as well when it comes out.

If all you did was play onner's UK plays, you would do very very well. He is not a homer when it comes to picking sides in UK matchups.

Looking back, UK's wins look bad pretty bad outside of the big win at Tennessee.

what was last year for Duke? They didnt even get to the Sweet 16. Duke is in the middle of a down swing IMO.

That is exactly my point. The only program in the country where that would even be considered a down swing would be Duke.

didnt they get knocked out in the 1st round a couple years ago? Then, in the second round last year? Any elite program would consider that a down year

No doubt...Florida is looking real good here...the only shooter UK has is Meeks....everyone else is suspect....UK is just not there yet talent wise to be consistent...good info onthewhat

Yeah we will, more revenue from a few more home games, plus we are in a race to 2,000 wins and only up 11 on UNC. We have around 1980.

Boys I am obviously rooting in Kentucky here....but rational thought is the line is off and Florida will win....I hope you Florida backers lose but I think you don't have anything to worry about...
